in 2017 a four-month sea kayak expedition travelled south to north through the Maldivian island atolls in the Indian Ocean, a journey that retraced a 1985/6 expedition, revisiting the exact same locations thirty years on, only this time travelling in a reverse direction
free diving along the way collecting waste and foreign materials from the coral reefs that were mixed with island organics and laid directly onto 8 × 10 inch E6 film plates, each camera-less exposure was made using the rising or setting sun and moonlight alone
